Zimbabwe Cheetah, Tafadzwa Chitokwindo was born in Harare and has lived in various parts of the country.
Tafadzwa made many friends as he changed between 5 different schools as he moved from junior to senior school, to accommodate his Dad’s career as a banker.
“MaRubber”, as the world has come to know him, started taking rugby seriously at the age of 17 whilst being coached by Mr Odendaals at #Kyle College. Mr Odendaals, who also happened to be the headmaster at the school, mentored Tafadzwa as he honed his skills.
Chitokwindo went on to pursue a Bachelors in Commerce majoring in Economics at Rhodes University in South Africa. He graduated in 2014 and proceeded to Germany to play club rugby amongst other things. Im Germany, Tafadzwa does volunteers by working with refugees in integrating them into the community.
This will be Tafadzwa’s second Rugby World Cup Sevens having represented Zimbabwe in Russia at the 2013 RWC Sevens
